A basic upma made by roasting semolina and cooking it with a mustard-seed tempering, chilies, tomatoes, curry leaves, and lemon.
Ingredients
- 1/2 bowl rava (semolina) (roasted)
- 2 bowls water
- 6–7 green chillies
- 2 tomatoes
- 6–7 curry leaves
- 1 lemon
- salt
- 4 spoons oil (for tempering)
- mustard seeds (for tempering)
Instructions
- Roast the rava (semolina).
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
- Proceed with tempering and cook upma using the listed ingredients (water, green chillies, tomatoes, curry leaves, salt, lemon).
