Siro (Semolina Halwa)

Siro

A ghee-roasted semolina halwa cooked with water and sugar, finished with cardamom and almonds.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl Ghee
  • 2 bowls Semolina (lota)
  • 1/2 bowl Sugar
  • 1 bowl Water
  • 3–4 Cardamoms
  • Almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee.
  2. Add semolina and roast.
  3. When it turns slightly red, add water.
  4. Cook until the water dries up.
  5. Add sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat.
  7. Garnish with cardamom and almonds.
