Shrikhand
A sweetened yogurt dessert made by dissolving sugar in ghee and mixing it into yogurt, then chilling until set.
Ingredients
- 250 g yogurt (dahi) (same as shrikhand recipe)
- 200 g sugar (same as shrikhand recipe)
- 2 tsp ghee (same as shrikhand recipe)
- sesame seeds (roasted; add first)
Instructions
- Warm the ghee on low flame and add sugar.
- When the sugar dissolves, remove from heat.
- Add yogurt and mix well.
- Beat/mix until smooth.
- Refrigerate to set.
- If too thick, mix in a little milk/water and refrigerate again.
Tips
- If shrikhand becomes too thick, loosen with a little milk or water and refrigerate again.
