Raw Papaya Pudla (same method as Batata Pudla)

Kaccha Papaya

A spiced raw papaya preparation cooked using the same method as Batata Pudla with mustard-hing tempering.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg raw papaya
  • 4–5 onion
  • 4–5 green chillies
  • cumin seeds
  • lemon
  • red chilli powder
  • salt
  • oil (for tempering)
  • mustard seeds (for tempering)
  • hing (asafoetida) (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Prepare using the same method as Batata Pudla: temper oil with mustard seeds and hing, add onions and green chillies, add papaya, season with spices and lemon, and cook on low flame until done.
