Rava Dosa (Semolina Dosa)

Dosa batter made by soaking urad dal and methi seeds and combining with fine rava; dosas are prepared in the evening after fermentation/resting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rava (semolina)
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1/2 cup maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 2 medium-size cups curd
  • water (as needed to make a thin batter)
  • salt
  • cumin seeds (jeera)
  • oil (for greasing/drizzling and cooking)

Instructions

  1. Mix rava, rice flour, maida, curd, salt, and cumin seeds.
  2. Add water to make a thin batter and rest for a while.
  3. Heat a tawa and grease with oil.
  4. Pour batter and allow it to spread on its own.
  5. Drizzle oil and cook until crisp.
  6. Serve.
