Soaked kidney beans boiled with a little baking soda, then cooked with onions and spices and finished with yogurt.
Ingredients
- rajma (kidney beans) (soak overnight; boil in morning)
- soda / bi-carb (a little; add while boiling)
- oil
- hing (asafoetida)
- onions (fried)
- haldi (turmeric)
- salt
- red chilli powder
- garam masala
- dahi (yogurt) (add after spices)
Instructions
- Soak rajma overnight.
- Boil in the morning, adding a little soda/bi-carb while boiling.
- Fry onions in oil with hing.
- Add the boiled rajma to the onions.
- Add haldi, salt, red chilli powder, and garam masala.
- Add some dahi.
