Ingredients

  • oil
  • hing (asafoetida)
  • rai (mustard seeds)
  • jeera (cumin seeds)
  • cloves
  • cinnamon
  • dal water
  • salt
  • lemon
  • sugar
  • haldi (turmeric)
  • green chillies
  • coriander (cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and add hing, rai, jeera, cloves, and cinnamon.
  2. Add this tempering to the dal water.
  3. Add salt, lemon, sugar, haldi, green chillies, and coriander.
