Soaked moong cooked with a mustard-hing tempering and basic spices.

Ingredients

  • 4 moong (soaked in water for 1/2 hour)
  • red chili powder
  • salt (to taste)
  • oil (for tempering)
  • mustard seeds (for tempering)
  • asafoetida (hing) (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Soak moong in water for 1/2 hour.
  2. Heat oil with mustard seeds and hing (tempering).
  3. Add moong and add the spices.
  4. Cook until done.
