Boiled moong prepared with spices and finished with a mustard-cumin tempering.

Ingredients

  • moong (boiled first)
  • haldi (turmeric)
  • salt
  • red chilli powder
  • dhana-jeera (coriander-cumin powder)
  • curry leaves
  • green chilli
  • ginger
  • coriander (cilantro)
  • oil (for tempering)
  • rai (mustard seeds) (for tempering)
  • jeera (cumin seeds) (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Boil the moong.
  2. Add haldi, salt, red chilli powder, dhana-jeera, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger, and coriander.
  3. Prepare a tempering with rai and jeera in oil and add it to the moong.
