Kimi Aunty’s Large Potatoes
Tempered potato preparation with onions, green chilies, garlic, lemon, and ajwain; optional dry coconut.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces onions
- 2–3 pieces green chilies
- garlic
- 4 pieces potatoes (note: title says '6 Large Potatoes' but ingredient list states 4 potatoes)
- salt
- lemon (juice)
- ajwain (carom seeds)
- turmeric (mentioned in method)
- dry coconut (optional; grated)
- 2 tsp oil (for tempering)
- mustard seeds (for tempering)
- cumin seeds (for tempering)
Instructions
- Mix potatoes with salt, turmeric, lemon, and ajwain.
- Heat 2 tsp oil; add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Add onions and (optional) grated dry coconut; sauté.
- Add green chilies and garlic; sauté.
- Add the potatoes; mix and cook.
- Stir in the tempering and serve.
