Kasar (Sweet Yogurt Sugar Syrup)

A thin, cooked sweetened yogurt-water mixture, strained smooth and served as a sweet drink/syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl thick curd (yogurt)
  • 2 bowls water
  • 1/2 bowl powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Whisk curd well so there are no lumps.
  2. Add water and mix well.
  3. Strain to remove any lumps.
  4. Cook covered on low heat for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar, and mix.
