Kanda Bhajiya

Crisp onion bhajiyas made with a thick chickpea flour batter and fried on medium heat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chickpea flour (chana flour)
  • 6 pieces onions (sliced)
  • red chili powder
  • salt
  • turmeric
  • water (add a little to make a thick batter)
  • oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Mix spices into the chickpea flour.
  2. Add sliced onions and mix well (do not add too much water).
  3. Add a little water and make a thick batter.
  4. Fry in hot oil on medium flame until done.

Tips

  • Keep the flame on medium while frying.
  • Do not add too much water; batter should be thick.
