Green Tuvar Pigeon Pea Kachori Filling
Savory cooked green tuvar filling flavored with coconut, green chilies, lemon, sugar, and coriander for stuffing kachoris.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg tuvar (pigeon peas) (soak overnight)
- 2 medium pieces coconut (chopped)
- 4 pieces green chilies
- salt
- lemon (juice)
- sugar
- coriander
- 4–5 tsp oil
Instructions
- Soak the tuvar overnight.
- Heat 4–5 tsp oil; add soaked tuvar and sauté on low heat, stirring, until cooked (about 15 minutes).
- Add coconut, green chilies, lemon, sugar, salt, and coriander; mix well.
- Use the mixture as kachori filling and make kachoris.
