Methi na Gota
Soft fried methi (fenugreek) gota made from besan-wheat batter with yogurt, rested, then leavened and deep fried.
Ingredients
- 1/2 bowl chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/2 bowl wheat flour
- 3 green chilies
- salt (as per taste)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons yogurt (curd)
- methi (fenugreek leaves) (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon hot oil (added to mixture after resting)
- baking soda (added before frying (amount not specified))
- oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Mix besan, wheat flour, green chilies, salt, sugar, turmeric, yogurt, and chopped methi together.
- Rest the mixture for about 1 hour.
- Add 1 tsp hot oil to the mixture.
- Add baking soda and mix well.
- Fry small balls (gota) in hot oil until cooked.
