Dates-Tamarind Chutney (for Ragda Patties)

A sweet-tangy chutney made from dates and tamarind, seasoned with salt and chili; noted as prepared the same way as bhel chutney.

Ingredients

  • 200 gm Dates (khajur)
  • 100 gm Thick tamarind pulp
  • Jaggery (gud)
  • Red chilli powder (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare using the same method as bhel chutney: cook/boil the sweetener and tamarind component together, season with salt and red chili powder, then cool before serving.
