Chutney (Roasted Chana Dal and Peanut) - Version 2

A quick chutney made by grinding roasted chana dal and peanuts with ginger and green chilli, finished with mustard and curry leaf tempering.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup roasted chana dal
  • 10–12 peanuts
  • ginger
  • green chilli
  • salt
  • water (as needed for grinding)
  • mustard seeds (for tempering)
  • oil (for tempering)
  • curry leaves (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Grind roasted chana dal, peanuts, ginger, green chilli, and salt with water to a chutney consistency.
  2. Prepare tempering: heat oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Add tempering to the chutney and mix.
