A pressure-cooked bottle gourd and chana dal curry tempered with spices and optionally tomatoes.
Ingredients
- oil
- hing (asafoetida)
- rai (mustard seeds)
- jeera (cumin seeds)
- dudhi (bottle gourd)
- chana dal
- haldi (turmeric)
- salt
- dhana-jeera (coriander-cumin powder)
- red chilli powder
- jaggery
- tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil and add hing, rai, and jeera.
- Add dudhi, chana dal, haldi, salt, dhana-jeera, red chilli powder, jaggery, and optional tomatoes.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
