Black chickpeas soaked overnight, boiled, and seasoned with spices and a hing tempering.

Ingredients

  • white chana (chickpeas) (soak overnight)
  • haldi (turmeric)
  • salt
  • red chilli powder
  • aamchur (dry mango powder)
  • black pepper powder
  • oil (for tempering)
  • hing (asafoetida) (for tempering)
  • chole masala (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak black chana overnight.
  2. Boil the chana.
  3. Add haldi, salt, and red chilli powder.
  4. Add a tempering of hing (in oil).

Tips

  • You can also add chole masala.
