Aloo Rava

A cooked, tempered tomato-ginger-chilli mixture served with boiled potatoes, finished with lemon and commonly eaten with sev and chopped onion.

Ingredients

  • 2 potatoes (boiled (in the morning))
  • 4 tomatoes
  • ginger (grated)
  • green chilies (grated)
  • coriander (grated/mixed (as written))
  • lemon (add at end)
  • salt
  • oil (for tempering)
  • mustard seeds (for tempering)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes (noted as done in the morning).
  2. Make a mix by grating ginger, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander together.
  3. Heat oil; add mustard seeds.
  4. Add the grated mix and cook on medium flame, stirring occasionally.
  5. When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, add lemon and salt.
  6. Cook a little longer and serve as desired (eat with sev and chopped onion).
